I was a little apprehensive to join this venture, only knew that Tai Chi was something Chinese and good for you. What a pleasant surprise! It is a slow, easy exercise routine in pleasant surroudings with a great staff! As easy as it looks when you are watching, you find it is not so when you are trying to do it, but the staff, both Allan and Maggie are very kind and patient, so you do not feel like a total clod. You leave invigorated and want to come again. This is hard to learn from a DVD program, you need a patient instructor to keep correcting your moves. Allan and Maggie are the best!

My wife and I became interested in learning Tai Chi last summer and contacted a few teachers advertising on the net. When we spoke to Allan Howlings at ABC Tai Chi we knew straight away that he is the teacher for us.
In the six months since then we have learnt around half of the 24-step Tai Chi short form as well as several Chi Gung sets, including the Five Elements Chi Gung and 18-step Tai Chi Chi Gung set. We attend the Friday evening Woolstones class.
Having hated all aspects of PE when I was younger, I had some reservations about learning any physical exercise or routine with a teacher. Allan has proved that I had no need to fear! He has an infectious enthusiasm for Tai Chi, mixed with genuine concern for the individual physical needs of all the members of the group. He specialises in using Tai Chi for its health benefits rather than as a "martial" art, and as such he welcomes all comers with equal and genuine enthusiasm.
Allan has a great ability to explain Tai Chi postures and moves, plus relevant theory, with ease and clarity. He is also sensitive to the different learning styles presented in the group. As a professional teacher myself I have worked in schools for two decades, and have only rarely met a teacher who combines such excellent qualities. I can therefore recommend him without reservation.

The Tai Chi course was excellent. The tutor was very knowlegeable and ethusiatic and had a relaxed way of putting over the subject matter, which made it a joy to learn.

My husband and I are very impressed with the Tai Chi class in Bletchley on Thursday afternoon. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, yet it is professional and fun. Instruction is geared to all levels and the encouragement from Allan and Maggi is inspiring. We are looking forward to future sessions.

Small and friendly group in Bletchley with the emphasis on relaxation and enjoyment. There is no pressure on competing with anyone else and members are encouraged to progress at their own pace with the aim of getting as much out of Tai Chi as they wish with the expert help of Allan and his partner Maggie.

I am attending a tai chi class with Allan and Maggie and finding it extremely beneficial. The class has a friendly atmosphere and the style of teaching is very open and relaxed - very conducive to learning tai chi.

Suitable for all ages. Allan takes the 24 form step by step and encourages safety in practise. Gives lots of really good tips on Chi Kung too! Karen
After taking over Lillibet House I was looking for something outside the normal chair exercises for the elderly.
Margaret kindly agreed to come along and adapt her Tai Chi to suit our client group.
The residents now look forward to Margaret coming and actively take part enjoying themselves and exercising at the same time.
I cant thank Margaret enough for her time and patience with the residents some who have advanced Dementia.

Until recently I had never done any Tai Chi in my life so I joined Maggi and Allan's class as a complete beginner. Thanks to them I already know a few moves and am enjoying it immensely.
Because their teaching is competent and done in a friendly atmosphere, I find each lesson leaves me with a sense of satisfaction and calm.
